Cable & Lighting
Cables are vital components of all electrical and electronic equipments. Most of the cables
are made of a conductive metal inner part with a insulator covering usually made of plastic
or pvc.
Cables we handle at GCL can be grouped into three categories:
• Cables used in communication devices
• Cables used in Household Appliances
• Cables used Telecommunication and Power Networks
Our cable recycling machine crushes the scrap cable and seperates the conductive metal
part of the cable (mostly copper) from the plastic part. Dry Cables mostly have copper and
aluminum conductors. The insulation is made of plastic, rubber or paper. Power cables may
have lead or steel armouring which can be processed with our cable stripper.
